Beyond Our Horizons: From Tokyo to Paris
After its celebrated debut high above Tokyo in the Mori Tower,Beyond our Horizons arrives in Paris in a renewed and expanded form. From January 29 to April 26, 2026, the Galerie du 19M becomes the stage for a dialogue between French and Japanese artisans, expressed through gesture, technique, and shared imagination.
Nearly thirty artisans and creators present both individual works and collaborative pieces developed with the eleven Maisons d’art of the 19M — including Atelier Montex, Lesage, Lemarié, Maison Michel, Goossens, and others. These collaborations reveal how heritage and innovation can echo, respond, and elevate one another.

An Exhibition Built as a Landscape of Wonder
Curated by Momoko Ando, Yoichi Nishio, Shinichiro Ogata, Kayo Tokuda, and Aska Yamashita,Beyond our Horizons revolves around a shared question: how do traditional and reinvented gestures shape the way we see the world?
ATTA – Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects brings this reflection to life through an immersive scenography that guides visitors along a fluid and sensorial path, where each space becomes a new terrain of textures, materials, and perspectives.
-
Beyond the Exhibition: Encounters, Gestures, Transmission
Aligned with its mission of cultural transmission, the Galerie du 19M enriches the exhibition with workshops, demonstrations, performances, and encounters for all audiences. These moments extend the experience beyond observation into participation — inviting visitors to feel the rhythm of a gesture, the patience of a technique, the intimacy of a craft.
-
Where Craft Meets Culture
Since its opening in 2022 between Paris and Aubervilliers, the 19M — created by CHANEL — has become a vibrant hub uniting nearly 700 artisans across eleven historic Maisons d’art. It is a place where tradition is preserved, reinvented, shared, and celebrated.
Beyond our Horizons embodies this spirit: a meeting of cultures, a choreography of expertise, and a celebration of what happens when craftsmanship transcends borders. From Tokyo’s skyline to Paris’ creative heart, the exhibition reminds us that horizons are not limits, but invitations.
